One of the most awaited battles of The ICC WORLD CUP 2019 will be played today between India and England.
England has won four matches against South Africa, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Afghanistan and lost three matches against Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Australia. It’s a must match for England to be in the qualification race.
India, on the other hand, has been undefeated so far. India has won five matches against South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and West Indies and one match against New Zealand was abandoned due to rain. India needs just one win to qualify for the semi-finals.
Its a Do or Die match for England. A lot of pressure on England as they need to win both matches against India, and New Zealand to be sure to qualify for the semi-finals. If India wins, England may be out of the qualification race and if England wins Pakistan may be out of the qualification race. Guess what will happen if it rains and the match gets abandoned?
The pitch has mostly been good for batting, and maximum wickets have been taken by fast bowlers. In the last match on this ground between New Zealand and Pakistan, New Zealand made 237 and Pakistan chased the score and won that match by 6 wickets. Today’s match score should be around 300-350.
As per the weather report, patchy rain is possible. Let’s hope for no rains today.
